Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Wear it Pink.

Every October, people worldwide show their support for those affected by breast cancer. At Shimmering Ivory, this is a cause incredibly close to our hearts. Not only are we a team of women ourselves, but we also have worked closely with many brides, (and mothers of brides) who have been personally affected by this disease.

The beauty of a bespoke gown is the ability to tailor it precisely to each woman’s desire and needs. While we wholeheartedly believe in celebrating all women’s bodies, we understand that many of our customers have factors they want to take into consideration when choosing a gown. Whether it be asymmetry, double mastectomy concerns or following breast enhancement, we have experience in creating flattering designs and shapes with this in mind.

We have worked with multiple clients who have undergone a masectomy . We pride ourselves on the relationship we build with our clients, and we want them to feel completely secure and open whilst with us. We want them to be part of the process! When working with these clients we make sure we understand their needs, their journey and what they needed from us. We want each woman that comes in to not only look beautiful, but to feel beautiful and comfortable in themselves. 

2020 has acted a powerful reminder that we’re all united as one. Our choices and actions have the power to protect one another. By supporting other women and working together we want to help, to both encourage women to access the care they need, but also to celebrate their beautiful body in any shape or form.
